Wood Workshop

Wood Workshop

Our task was to make a miniature model of one of the power machines. As a group we chose the pillar drill, our first task was to take every measurement we would need to create the model. We then made some drawings of it to scale and marked out each piece we would need and how they would fit together. We then started cutting and sanding the wood and configuring each piece.

We used the glue gun to secure the parts in place and make sure each section fitted correctly. We used wire to make the handle and an old piece of metal pole for the stand. Once it was all complete we double checked to make sure it was a to scale model.

We were really pleased with the outcome and felt it was a useful exercise especially in terms of using the machines.
